The microphone input doesn't work on Google Maps using CarPlay with my 2019 Acura RDX. I am not alone, as others have reported the issue with other cars (Honda, Hyundai, Kia). It does work in my 2018 Acura. UPDATE 10/31/2018: Upgrading to IOS 12.1 fixed the microphone issue with Google Maps and Waze.
